Leisure Parks
If you were planning on spending an entertaining day with the entire family, the Costa Blanca offers a great number of attractions, from water parks, animal parks to theme parks. Only a 30 minute car drive from your villa you will find the renowned Terra Mitica, several zoos with impressive shows and a “safari” park with a huge petting zoo. During the summer you will also be able to go to the two water parks nearby.
We advise that you buy tickets on-line, especially during the summer.
Terra Mítica
Benidorm
Open from the last week of February until September. Like all great theme parks, Terra Mitica is divided into five different zones perfectly adapted to its own topic, all related to the Mediterranean; Greece, Rome, Egypt, Iberia and The Islands. All of these zones have a good number of restaurants and shows, and of course, the attractions are aplenty with more than 30, from dizzying roller coasters and heart stopping free falls to cute little rides for the very young. The park offers discounts for minors and elderly, as well as for groups and large families.
Aqualandia
Benidorm
Aqualandia was the first park in Benidorm and has been growing since the day it opened. Currently it has 17 water slides, 10 rides for small children and 12 pools. You will need at least an entire day to enjoy them all, or you can spend a relaxing day next to the wave pool or the “spa” pool, knowing that your children are safe and entertained, enjoying the numerous rides while under the strict supervision of the many lifeguards.
Aqualandia also has several restaurants, shops, shows and a free parking area of more than 22,000m2.
Aqua Natura
Benidorm
The second water park in Benidorm has a big wave pool surrounded by many loungers both in the sun and in the shade. The more adventurous members of the family have over 1000 meters of slides to enjoy, whilst the younger visitors have their own play areas, and one where you are able to pet some sea creatures. There is also an aquarium and the park offers the possibility to swim with sharks.
There are also restaurants, shops and a sea lion show.
Mundomar
Benidorm
Open all year, Mundomar is a zoo specializing in sea creatures and birds, although it does count some small mammals. The park is marvelously characterized as a tropical paradise with well kept vegetation, representative buildings and rock constructions. Mundomar offers a number of impressive shows with parrots, sea lions and, especially remarkable, a dolphin show combined with water ballet performed by members of the Spanish team of synchronized swimming. A truly unique spectacle.
Terra Natura
Benidorm
Terra Natura is proud to belong to the new generation of zoos that stands out for the use of bigger more natural habitation in which the animals are kept, surrounded by glass instead of bars. The park has four zones that house over 1500 animals from more than 200 species and also 1600 plants from 160 species. The park also has restaurants, shows and a few rides.
During the summer Terra Natura offers the “Night Safari Adventure”. A dinner with show and afterwards a guided tour through the park. From 21:00 to 1:00 and 38€ for adults and 22€ children. You will need to make reservations.
